INTRODUCTION

I am profoundly interested in all the sciences.  I use ideas from physics and chemistry a great deal in my work.I am passionate about geology, astronomy archeology; history and geography.

I have a more practical interest in all aspects of Natural History - including botany, zoology, paleontology and ecology, particularly in terms of conservation.

I have worked for the RSPCA and continue to work, on a voluntary basis, for the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and Wiltshire Wildlife Conservation Volunteers among others.

I have a collection of cacti and other succulents.  I love all plants but I have a special interest in bulbous, cormous and tuberous plants.

I am fascinated by all forms of technology - including military.  All my life I have been interested in aeroplanes and trains.

I am currentyl building a new model railway.

I like to listen to music: principally classical: 

My favourite 20th composers are Stravinsky, Sibelius and Janacek. I also love Mozart, Hadyn, Schubert, Beethoven and many others. My favourite rock musician was Jimi Hendrix. I also like Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Beatles and many more.

I love Shakespeare - my favourite play is Cymbeline.
My favourite poet is probably Dylan Thomas.

I am keen on reading, walking, gardening and my wife.
